It is often believed to be influenced by psychological and emotional factors, as well as the surrounding environment.
Causes of writer's block
Perfectionism: The quest for perfection in writing can block creativity, making it difficult to start writing.
Lack of organisation: Lack of organisation can cause confusion and uncertainty as to the path to follow when writing the text.
Burnout: Burnout occurs when one works excessively without taking breaks or adequate rest, causing mental exhaustion that makes it difficult to stay focused and have new insights.
External pressures: They can cause stress and hinder creativity, as one is required to meet deadlines, satisfy editors or customers and achieve high expectations.
Pathways to creativity: Following old established patterns or resorting to common clichés can restrict our capacity for imagination and hinder authentic thinking.

Methods for dealing with writer's block
Setting goals: For concrete results, it is advisable to break the project down into more manageable tasks and set a realistic target for the number of words to be written each day.
Organise a writing schedule: Organise your writing schedule by assigning a specific time each day, preferably during the hours when you are most productive. Being consistent promotes the formation of momentum and routine.
Eliminate distractions: To reduce distractions, we recommend turning off electronic devices, seeking a quiet environment, wearing noise-cancelling headphones or using special apps to minimise digital distractions.
Practising free writing: practising free writing means writing without interruption for a certain period of time, focusing exclusively on producing raw material without worrying about grammatical correctness, spelling or structure.
Mind mapping: Mind mapping consists of visually representing one's ideas through the use of diagrams, graphs or networks. In this way, connections between related concepts are established and organically expanded.
Take regular breaks: every hour or two, interrupt your activity for a short period by engaging in light physical exercises, meditation or mindfulness practices in order to invigorate your mind and improve concentration.
Read a lot: Broaden your horizons in the world of literature by exploring different genres, styles and authors, which can offer new inspirations and creative approaches.
Feedback: To get feedback on your work, it is advisable to share your work with trusted friends, mentors or writing groups, accepting their constructive criticism and keeping your own unique voice.
Cultivating Gratitude: Cultivating gratitude means focusing on the value and importance of experiencing the pleasure of telling a story, the sense of achievement in completing a draft and the privilege of sharing one's vision with others.
Exercising kindness towards oneself: Accepting that everyone faces moments of obstacles and difficulties, bearing in mind that flaws are a component of the creative journey and personal development.
